Recently, I had the privilege of accompanying our CEO, Michael Velasquez, and our COO, Kal MacDonald on a trip to visit clients in Las Vegas. As the new Business Development Manager at Percipia, I was able to experience firsthand how we value knowing our clients and understanding their relationship with Percipia. From the moment we arrived at the first meeting, it was clear that all of our clients were our priority at Percipia.
We spent two days visiting the resorts, casinos, and offices of our clients in Las Vegas, where I observed how our CEO and COO interacted with our customers. It was great hearing from our clients about how much they valued their partnership with Percipia and how excited they were for future collaborations.
Near the end of one of our meetings, I had an especially meaningful conversation with an IT Director who shared my same foundation in hospitality. She spoke passionately about all the cogs in the wheels behind the glitzy curtain that operate The Machine that is Vegas—the infrastructure and support needed to create a truly unique escape and experience for guests. It was inspiring to hear her perspective as someone who works behind the scenes but still contributes significantly to creating magical experiences for guests.
In addition to learning more about our client’s businesses, I also had a chance to get to know Kal and Michael on a personal level. I felt like I fit right in, and I was able to offer insights from my own experience working in hospitality over the years. I left feeling enthusiastic about my new position with Percipia, as well as getting better acquainted with Kal and Michael both personally and professionally.
Overall, it was an amazing trip that offered many valuable insights into what makes hospitality tech companies successful today—from having strong relationships with customers to understanding customer needs on a deeper level and having a passion for developing innovative solutions for customers. This experience was a great introduction to what we do, and will undoubtedly help me to provide exceptional service for clients in the world of Hospitality.
