Percipia Welcomes Michael, Our New System Support Specialist!
It is always nerve-racking coming into a new company and trying to break the ice. Ensuring that new employees feel comfortable is crucial to building a positive transition within a company. We thought it would be fun to ask Michael a few questions to get to know him a little better.
Q: What is your official work title?
A: System Support Specialist
Q: Can you tell us more about your professional experience/history?
A: There is not much to say about my professional experience, however, I have a large portfolio of IT certifications i.e. CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Network+ LPIC-1, LPIC-2, as well as my CCENT
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: I am an avid gamer, I have been playing video games my entire life and I enjoy that a lot. However, I spend a lot of my time during the warm months fishing and hiking and in the winter I go hunting with my father most years.
Q: What is your greatest travel experience?
A: My greatest travel experience was when I went to Poland to visit some family back in 2016. It was really incredible to see how different things are in other countries and you can really appreciate the history and the architecture. It was an experience I could never forget.
Q: Favorite movie?
A: 21, Something about the use of math to make money gambling is just really interesting for me and I love watching this movie.
Q: Guilty pleasure music artist?
A: I'm not sure if I would call it a guilty pleasure but Sleeping with Sirens is my absolute favorite music artist.
Q: What is something that inspires you?
A: The biggest inspiration in my life is my parents, they were able to overcome so many hardships and immigrated to the US and were able to learn a new language and start over in a new place with no money and make something of themselves and be able to raise their children
to live a good life.
Q: What would you say your professional goal would be now that you are employed at Percipia?
A: My goals at the moment would be to learn as much as I can about all of the different systems and software that we use and become proficient and knowledgeable so that I can become a valuable asset to Percipia and the team. Long term I want to learn more about software development and deployment and be able to become a useful developer as well.
