Chicago, IL – Percipia, a Cisco Developer Partner, announces a new Webex interface for the hospitality industry. Percipia’s hospitality interface gateway, Parallax, has provided Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) clients with property management system integration since the early 2000s. Cisco’s Webex Unified Communication is available to the hospitality market for administrative call control, and now hotels can deploy Webex extensions for guest rooms.
Parallax provides phone systems with hospitality-centric features like guest caller-id, wake-up calls, set and override do-not-disturb, and housekeeping room updates via guest room phones. Parallax is Percipia’s core product that allows hotel solutions to communicate. Upon guest check-in, Parallax notifies Webex to create an extension, set caller-ID, and enable calling privileges from the guest’s in-room phone. CUCM clients currently utilize Parallax worldwide, and now this solution is available for hospitality Webex clients.

Webex will also utilize Percipia’s guest room voicemail system, Precision VM. Precision VM works with Webex to create a voice mailbox upon guest check-in and allow the mailbox to move with the guest should they choose to switch rooms within the property. Upon check-out, customers have the option to purge or archive voicemails for a period of time determined by the hotel staff.
