The 2019 HITEC Convention in Minneapolis kicked off as usual with a great party and musical guest Daughtry. Having never been to Minneapolis, I was anxious to experience the local food fare and check out what the city has to offer. I didn’t make it to the Mall of America but heard some reports of the expanse of the structure from a few of our partners and attendees who said it was really something to check out particularly the indoor roller coasters.
As we all rely on email as our go-to for communication, I look forward to meeting our current clients in person. This year I was so happy also to see our partner teams that I work with on a weekly sometimes daily basis. As a reseller of all the telephone majors like; Cetis, Vtech, AEI, Avaya, and Bittel – it’s a great opportunity to view the new products and gain the education I need to help our clients find solutions and devices best suited for their properties.
We were also excited to announce our new partnership with Lenovo. The new smart device integrations are certainly an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our Latitude Mobile application. Having the Lenovo representative in our booth was great and so informative. Thanks to Manny Saint-Lot for all the new information he shared. I was also so happy to see the team at TraknProtect as busy as ever. Their Panic Devices have launched at over 80 Chicago hotels and they keep gaining new clients. Being in a partnership with TraknProtect makes me proud and allows me to offer our current clients such a valuable resource in providing safety to their staff.
Occupying the booth next to Alexa for Hospitality was a great advantage as we tested out the full voice-activated features, including a vacuum and shower. That’s right voice command to start your bath. WOW.
We were met with some more integration opportunities like a major streaming radio provider. We’re looking forward to adding this to our list of integrations on our Latitude Mobile Applications.
The show really drove home how we’re forging ahead with the right people and partnerships to make sure we stay ahead of the competition by developing amazing integrations to wow your hotel guests.
